About UPC
Underground Pizza Company (UPC) is a pandemic born start-up created by Evan Weinstein. The concept started as a hobby and quickly grew from home bakes, to purchases from friends, to ghost kitchens & pop ups, and is now open for business at their first brick & mortar in Power Plant Live! in Downtown Baltimore Maryland.
Our Mission
The focus of UPC has always been and will always be centered around our passion for both quality and flavor. Our pizzas are designed from carefully selected ingredients with a focus on peak flavors and interesting combinations, with the ultimate goal of producing an “Ah-Hah” moment with the people enjoying them. We never skimp, we never cut, and we are constantly reassessing what we’re doing to figure out how we can make it better.
Our Pizza
Our pizza is what is known as Detroit Style Pizza, which is a focaccia style thick crust pizza made in 10”x14” blue steel pans. Our dough is made in small batches, kept on a rigid proofing schedule, and topped with the finest ingredients, and finished off with one of our house made sauces, imported parmesan, or other toppings to create the perfect pizza.
We are excited to release our first ever GF crust options at Underground Pizza. After searching far and wide, and exploring several different options, we were able to find a frozen crust made from rice flour that when combined with our premium ingredients created a pizza that we felt was up to the Underground Pizza standard.
